The beach at Perranuthoe is a typical flat Cornish surf beach, yet not one known for the greatest waves. The level sand, with a rich hue evokes feeling, contrasting with the blues of the sea and sky. Ideal to photograph.
The winter is still here and having just visited Trebah gardens it quite clear that spring is on its way. Plants are heavy in bud, shrubs are being heavily cut back and the Gunnera are showing new growth.
The Cove of Porthcurnow offers a whole host of photographic opportunities. The location is well known for the Minack Theatre and Porthcurnow became internationally famous as the British termination of early submarine telegraph cables
One of my favorite aspects of photography is using the camera system to add extra depth dimension to photographs.
This black and white photograph of Breage side in Porthleven was captured with a long exposure to capture any light that was available and smooth out the water, leaving a little texture.
