Child and Family portraits

Families grow and change very quickly, time waits for no-one. I offer an affordable portrait package, so you can keep and enjoy those valuable memories, as well as sharing them with family and friends.

Natural light photography

The portrait photography in Cornwall I carry out with younger children, uses natural light in thier own environment as much as possible. This helps the children to stay as relaxed as possible, showing their true souls to the camera. There is no lighting equipment to intimidate them or impede their flow. I can just follow them around capturing natural, emotional photographs.

The child’s environment

The environment is very important. A situation your child is used to will allow them to feel settled and express themselves. I have worked in: houses, back gardens, parks and my favorite, the beach.

Using longer lenses also allows me to keep a distance away from your child. This gives them more confidence and allows them to feel secure, hence providing better photographic opportunities.

There is one draw back for me – I suffer a lot of wastage. This is no issue for you, just a challenge for me. Using natural light, I do not have the control over the ever changing light, hence, I take a lot of photographs to offer you a selection of high quality images to choose from.

Just to remind you – 1hr session I will provide you with a collection of photographs for you to choose from. The initial photograph will be printed as standard on A4 Fuji Film Crystal Archive photographic paper, mounted and backed with an acid free card at a cost of £25. Further images can be purchased on a cost per size basis. However, due to size ratios of photographs the composition may change slightly.
