Porthleven Storm

I love storm photography. Chasing a storm to see the power of mother nature. I am always amazed at the huge sound and sight of waves when they become massive in size and start to spill out of the normal confines of the ocean! I realise that they also cause misery and financial loss to many, this is sad and my heart goes out to those who have lost because of storms. But undeniably they have a massive beauty.

This storm on March 10th 2008 was fantastic. The photograph here is from Porthleven harbour. It battered much of Cornwall and South West England, causing damage and worry. It was also a fantastic storm to watch. I spent the whole day travelling around the Cornish coats gathering images for later use. The weather was against me, spray on my lens and strong winds causing my camera to shake. It was worth it. I hope you like this image of Porthleven in a storm.

Here is another photograph of Porthleven Harbour arm
