This photograph was taken by chance today at Penrose house, between Helstonfamous for the flora dance and Porthleven.

I spent about 2 hours trying to get some interesting reflections on a lake this afternoon at Penrose park in Helston. Sadly it would not come together for me today at all….. try, try and try again, but something was not happening, what ever I thought.

Heading back to the car with my dog, I stopped a few times to take some snaps for inspiration in the future.

On getting back to my PC I uploaded the images I had taken, they were still not good enough. Then I spotted this little gem (well in my opinion) The framing could be a little more to the right, but more importantly it “reflects” my current photographic work, wondering, changing, not sure where it will end. The other subtle aspect of this photograph is the gentle haze, the autumn mist capturing the season as well.

All in all I did capture a reflection, just not the sort I had gone looking for.
